Helen Thomas introducing another new member, Anna Hewitt.
Helen first met Anna 9 years ago, when she first started working at Upper Hutt Library.  Anna's warmth and happy personality were immediately evident; someone who would be a valuable Rotarian.

Anna was born in Lower Hutt, attending local schools in Lower Hutt.  After working in the old Government Buildings in Wellington, she became a teacher, specialising in helping children with mild learning difficulties; a favourite with parents and children alike.

Anna is a very competent artist and has used this skill in her work with these special children, as well as volunteering much of her own time within her local Upper Hutt community.  Anna takes an art class at the Library every Thursday and this class has become very special to the ladies and gentlemen who attend.

It has been a pleasure and an honour to work with Anna, and to become her friend.  It will be lovely having her as part of our Rotary family.
