Volunteering recently at the National Sumer Games for Special Olympics New Zealand.
A group of Eastern Hutt members volunteered their time this week at the Bocce, a modified form of indoor bowls. The photo shows those scheduled this afternoon, along with Barb Duncan, one of the very special organisers for the Bocce.
At the end of today, the Special Olympics dentists and podiatrist turned up to give all the participants a quick check over. One of the dentists is from Thames and comes each time to do the dental check.
