Last Meeting: Our first meeting back!
Members were excited to be back last month for the first time since New Zealand went into lockdown. In fact, 80% of our club were excited to get together once more! Respecting the Level 2 standards, our (substantial) mains and deserts were served, as were tea/coffee.
Annette shared some of her Covid-19 experiences, both sad and amusing.
Next week we look forward to being back together again, thanks to the country’s move to Level One. Well done everyone for sticking with the Government’s standards.

After 30 years in Rotary, I have learnt that:
the more you put into Rotary, the more you get out of it,
you get the opportunity to support your local community, Rotary District and Rotary International,
and meet many fantastic people, many of whom become very close friends.
The Rotary International Board, The Rotary Foundation Trustees, and all their committees will meet online at least till the end of 2020. The Board has recommended that all Institutes and training of incoming officers also be virtual. The ban on the funding of Rotary travel continues.
Please study and plan ahead, especially if you are on duty to write a Bulletin Contribution. A reminder that it's also your responsibility to find a replacement if you are unable to fulfill your duty.

* Upcoming Board Meeting - 22nd June: As is customary, next week’s Board Meeting will include both this year’s and Jan’s incoming Board members. It will be held at Avalon Pavilion starting at 4:30pm.

Go to our Website first, then look at Calendar, you will see 3 options, "Speakers", "Events Calendar" and "Rotary Calendar". The latter is what's happening in the District, if you want to see this. However, go back to Events Calendar to see what's happening with us and you will see 3 options. These are: Calendar, Grid and List. Have a look at all three and pick the one that suits you best. I like List or Grid and you can print out the one that you like best.
