Last Meeting: Madeline & Hannah - 2018 IYM candidates
Our two young women articulately shared their impressions of this year's Innovative Young Minds programme, thanking us for our sponsorship. They shared their many experiences visiting companies, including: Resene Paints, Callaghan Innovation, Te Auaha, GNS Science, Flight Plastics, Victoria University, Fraser Engineering, and a visit to Parliament too!

It was full-on the whole week, with a 6:45am "Wakey Wakey", 7am for breakfast, followed by exercises and meditation, before their packed day began.

Many new and lasting friendships were established, but more importantly, they became more aware of what career opportunities were available for them after they leave school.  One surprise was that a lot of the staff at Callaghan Innovation had not attended university!

Week's Parting Thought

“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”

~ John Wesley, Anglican clergyman who founded the Methodist church
