Week's Parting Thought:
"Decisions made by committees are of no value until they are implemented and actioned." ~ Russell Good
I would like to tell you about my working life from 1990 when I retired from the service station industry. It was then that I became at taxi driver before becoming Operations Manager for Hutt & City Taxis.
Please study and plan ahead, especially if you are on duty to write a Bulletin Contribution. A reminder that it's also your responsibility to find a replacement if you are unable to fulfill your duty.
* Duties: You are reminded that if you are on Rostered Duties, like Cashier, Bar Duties, etc, you are asked to be there by 5:15pm.
* Movie fundraiser: Wednesday, 22nd August at 8:00pm. Please start offering to your family and friends. For details, click HERE.
* Pride of Workmanship Award: The Education and Employment Committee is calling for nominations. This is an opportunity for employers to recognise employees displaying qualities worthy of such an Award. It’s aim is to encourage pride in personal performance in the workplace and acknowledge those who, “Go beyond the calls of duty.” The committee would prefer single nominees but would consider group nominations, through Jaye Howey, or any committee member.
