General Notices

* The roster can change weekly with absences etc so please check the roster each week to see if you have a duty.

* Rotary Meeting Monday 27 May - Partner's Meeting
At our next meeting, on Monday 27 May we have Paul Swain as our guest speaker.  Paul will be speaking on Life After Politics.  President John has agreed for this meeting to be a Partner's meeting.  Numbers are required for catering purposes and for setting up the hall.
We know that many members will want to bring their partner, or a friend, or both.  All are welcome.  Please advise Christine Meredith by mid-day Sunday 26 May, if you are bringing a guest.  If you are coming on your own, you do NOT need to contact Christine unless you will not be present.  So, two things:
  1. Contact Christine if you are bringing a guest - with the number you are bringing.
  2. Contact Christine if you are not able to be present at the meeting.
Christine's contact: cam1548@yahoo.com or 0210674592

* Fundraising Concert of Operatic Music - A Note from Brian Klee
Tomorrow, Saturday 25 May at Ss Peter and Paul Church, 60 Knights Road, at 7.30pm, Patrick Shanahan is holding a fundraising concert of Operatic music.  Patrick has just graduated with 1st class Honours in Classic Performance and is heading to the Bel Canto Music Academy in Amsterdam to sing the part of Don Giovanni in the Mozart opera. He needs $’s to support transport and associated costs.  Patrick will be joined by a number of singers contributing to the night’s entertainment.  Entry is by Koha. If you are free on Saturday evening, come along.

* Auction/Quiz Night 7 June
The International Committee running this event supporting Wellington Free Ambulance has asked for members assistance with items that could be used for the auction, silent auction and prizes.  Any items would be really appreciated.  As there is no meeting on 3 June because of King's Birthday weekend, please bring any contributions to next Monday's meeting.  If you have any questions please contact John Cole or Brian Clarke.
