At this week's meeting, Phoebe presented a very well written and well illustrated account of her experiences over the week spent on the Innovative Young Minds Course. Whilst initially unsure as to whether she should apply, the encouragement she received from an Alumnae of the course, persuaded her to go ahead. She spoke with enthusiasm in expressing her thanks to Eastern Hutt Rotary for sponsoring her, and thereby giving her the opportunity to socialise and work with other like minded young women. The various activities and visits helped her to see her possible future more clearly, as they opened up pathways ahead, which she had never previously considered. Phoebe will move on to year 13 next year and we wish her well in her future. |
