General Notices

* The roster can change weekly with absences etc so please check the roster each week to see if you have a duty.

* Remember the Walk for Mental Health this Sunday.  Shelley and her team hope to see you there. Details below

* Rotary Meeting - Monday 3rd March - Cancelled
There are a substantial number of members who are unable to attend this week's Rotary meeting. This means that holding the meeting is not viable from a catering point of view, as well as being unfair to invited speakers, and problematic holding Committee meetings.
Therefore, reluctantly, I have decided to cancel our meeting on Monday 3rd March.
My apologies for any inconvenience caused.
President Mike Fackney

* President Nominee 2026-27

I am pleased to announce, that at last Monday's Rotary meeting, Robin Fenwick was confirmed as the President Nominee for the 2026-27 year.  Congratulations to Robin!
Robin will follow Glenda Barratt who is the President Elect for the 2025-26 Rotary year.
President Mike Fackney

* Wednesday Brunch Meeting
Next month's coffee morning on Wednesday 5 March has been postponed until 12 March because a number of attendees are away down south tramping.

Board Matters

* Day of Service
If you have any ideas for our District 'Day of Service' please let Brian Clarke know asap.

* EHR Supporting Charities/Organisations
If you have any suggestions of charities/organisations who you believe are deserving of financial support from our Club, please let Tony Cornelius know asap. Tony will bring these to the Board for discussion.

A note from Rebecca Routhan, Community and Events Programme Manager, Te Omanga Hospice

"Kia ora golf tournament volunteers,

I’d like to thank you very much for giving up your time to help at our 2025 Te Omanga Hospice Golf Tournament, in association with Gee & Hickton Funeral Directors.  Whether you were there super early in the set-up crew, helping during the day, getting drenched as the rain poured down, or helping with the huge task of pack up, your efforts were very appreciated.

We are very rapt to announce that the amount raised at our golf tournament has risen to $70,130! Without the generosity of our volunteers on the day, this would not be possible.  The funds raised will go a long way towards helping those in our Hutt Valley community in need of palliative care, plus support for their families."

If you have any feedback about your volunteering experience, please speak to Jan or Brian and they can bring it to the debrief meeting next week.

Please enjoy the photos of our event at the link below.

Thanks once again for helping Te Omanga Hospice. We hope to see you again soon."

Regards
Rebecca
