Virtual Meetings Report:

Again we successfully hosted 3 Zoom meetings last Monday with very encouraging feedback.  Structure and content is improving and we will be continuing with our Monday meetings at 5pm.
Fellowship is certainly one of the aspects we enjoy as Rotarians.  But we are also inspired by being action-focused.  So now has to be the right time for us to take action and unite to create a lasting change in our local community.  Who needs help and how can we make a difference, must be in our minds right now?  Make this be a focus point of these meetings.

The  Pongaroa Library Recommends

Please Note: We apologise for the delay but the Pongaroa Pigeon was in lockdown for a while, until the Editor was able to persuade his erstwhile mates in MBIE that it should be granted "essential service" status.

Knowing how many of us are housebound we have included two extra recommendations:

The Great Escape - Frieda Convict
How to Break The Law - Kermit A. Krime
How to Cook Spaghetti - Al Dente
How to Behave Well - Ima Godley-Sole

General Notices:

* COVID19 Pandemic: While our country is fighting this coronavirus and we are self-isolating, our formal weekly meetings have been suspended.  However, we are hoping everyone who has a computer or device technology will join our Zoom meetings.

* Children's Hospital Raffle: Our District is running this fundraising raffle for the Family/Whanau Rooms.  This was to be drawn on 30th April but permission is currently being requested to extend this date.  Jan Palmer has tickets available until it closes.  Anyone who is able to take a book or two to sell to family/friends/work colleagues, would be appreciated.  It's a great cause!

* Water and Sanitation Rotarian Action Group: Colin has kindly shared this interesting clip for you HERE.
