On Monday 19th October, Eastern Hutt Rotary will be proud to host the United States Ambassador to NZ as our guest speaker. This will be a partner's night and also an opportunity to meet some of our future Satellite Club candidates.
A few days ago I was looking through our bookcase and deciding what should stay and what could go - things you do in retirement! Anyway, I came upon ‘Focus on New Zealand'.

General Notices:
* Monday 12th October: The Pavilion is unavailable so we plan to visit the Wainui Rural Fire Station, 13 The Strand, Wainuiomata. You may want to team-up with others and car pool - if anyone would like a ride there, contact Jan. We plan to assemble at the earlier time of 5:30pm and dinner will be served at 6pm. The aim is to return at 7:30 and 8pm. If you are not, or unable, to attend be sure to put in your apologise to Tony or David by 4pm Sunday.
* RYDA - Tuesday 13th October: Thanks to Anne, Jaye, Jan and Tony who have agreed to give up their time as volunteers to assist this year's RYDA event.
* Blind Week Appeal - 17th October: Gregory de Costa is putting a team together to collect at Pak N Save from 8:45 until 4:45pm. We still need two more, if you can help so contact Gregory if you can spare an hour.
* Ride the Trains -23rd October: It's End Polio time again and we will be once again riding the trains. Remember, it is the 2nd carriage you board whatever station you board - for further detail, click on the Link HERE.
* RYLA Applications close 30th October: This exciting and challenging Rotary programme for 18 to 24 year olds will be held from the 18th till 24th January 2021. It is designed for those in the work force, or students. and aims to unleash each participant's leadership potential. It is held at The Silverstream Retreat, so do you know a worthy young person with leadership potential who would benefit in the life-changing event - contact Glenda ASAP.
* Golf Tournament - 12th November: We are now collecting items for a basket to be raffled at this event - what would you like to contribute? Also, can you arrange your own team? More tournament details HERE.
