 Week's Parting Thought:

"Education requires a learner and a learner enabler.  We become the learners through our lively and interesting discussions and through listing to others.  We become the enablers through, among other things, the exchange students we sponsor, RYLA, Innovative Young Minds (IYM), the Dictionaries In Schools and Duffey books we provide to primary schools.  We are very lucky and privileged to be a part of such a positive group." ~ Annette Ruck

Parkinson Collection
A huge thank you to all who were able to give us some of their time last weekend.  I believe that the decision to change collection points to Countdown from the Mall was correct, so thanks very much to High Street's Countdown.

* Treasurer's message:  There are several members who have yet to pay their subscriptions for the period July-December 2018 which were due by 30 September. Please pay promptly - any doubts, please contact me.
Also, at the end of November we balance the meal accounts for the year and estimate if you have and monies to credit against your meal charges for the Christmas function.  Some members will be in debit coming into December.  Reason is meal charges are averaged over the full 12 months and some did not pay back in January.  I maintain a spreadsheet of meal receipts and debits so if you're unsure, please ask – for both parties peace of mind!
