* The roster can change weekly with absences etc so please check the roster each week to see if you have a duty.

Police College Museum Visit - Monday 24 February
We have been invited by the Rotary Club of Upper Hutt to join them on a visit to the Police College Museum, followed by a meal (possibly at Cobb & Co), on Monday 24 February. This will be in place of our usual meeting at Avalon Pavilion.  Arrival time at Police College Museum will be 6pm. There will be an $8 fee + the cost of the meal.  We will meet at the Avalon Pavilion at 5:15pm (note earlier time) to carpool, (other than those who proceed independently).

* Te Omanga Hospice Golf Tournament - 21 February 2025
Thank you to those members who have made themselves available to assist at the tournament. Brian and I will allocate duties early next week.

* Harmony for Hope Concert 4 April 2025
As part of the ‘Lifting the Lid’ programme Hutt Valley Rotary Clubs have established a Charitable Trust with the express purpose of supporting this programme and reducing the financial burden on individual clubs.  This fund raiser is a night of ‘movie-themed’ music from the Wellington Orchestra at the Lower Hutt Town Hall.  All of the funds raised will be used by the Charitable Trust for the ‘Lifting the Lid’ Programme.
The Lifting the Lid programme helps schools source additional or complementary interventions for students who have, or are at risk of developing, mental health issues.
Please find below a link to the website for this event and tickets sales:
Thank you for your assistance - Kevin Harris (Trustee, Lifting the Lid Charitable Trust)

Parting Thought

Glenda provided the parting thought at the end of our meeting -
"Friendship is so weird. You just pick a human you've met and you think "Yep I like this one and you just do stuff with them. The End"
