A group of 11 Eastern Hutt Rotarians and wives attended this year's Rotafest in Palmerston North.
Rotarians from all over the District came together to share and celebrate the many dozens of projects/activities undertaken in the region and also those overseas, especially the south pacific. Overseas exchange students introduced themselves and participated in the program during the weekend.
The selection of speakers were inspiring and well-selected by the organising committee, led by the District Governor, Mitch Brown. Dignitaries included Raffy Garcia, Rotary International Director from the Philippines and our own kiwi Bill Boyd, a Past Rotary International President.
On Saturday night, Eastern Hutt was recognised for its all-round efforts with two trophies, much to the delight of us all!!
Hopefully, more of us will come along next year to learn more about what goes on in the world of rotary service.
