On Tuesday 14 March, the International Committee held a fashion parade at Ballantynes, Lower Hutt to raise money for the victims of Cyclone Gabrielle. It was a very successful event raising more than $1800. Special thanks must go to Jaye, Eve, Glenda, Linda and Linda's friend Virginia for modelling the many outfits on display. They have definitely all missed their vocation.
Thank you also to Annette for managing the raffle ticket sales, Ray Wallace for managing the ticket sales at the door, Barry Littlefair, Mike Fackney and Gary Stratton for their support in hosting our group of ladies with drinks and chocolates, the club members who gave goodies for the raffles, Linda and Ray Wallace Real Estate for sponsoring the drinks and chocolates on the night and everyone who bought tickets and came along. It was a very successful evening and was enjoyed by all. Finally thank you to Leigh and the team from Ballantynes Lower Hutt for hosting the evening in-store, which was a lot of fun.
