Our guest speaker this week was Wendy Hill, Manager/Trustee of Greenstone Doors.
Wendy established Greenstone Doors Charitable Trust, a safe place to talk 10 years ago when working in the sector and saw the need to provide support for women and their whanau through pregnancy.
Services they provide include free pregnancy tests (41), free baby clothes (952 packs distributed to families), access to support, help with grief and loss and counselling services. The service also includes playgroups, peer support, men’s wellness programmes.
Greenstone Doors currently has 687 active clients in Upper and Lower Hutt and is founded on the Christian values of faith, hope, love and service.
Greenstone Doors Tatou pounamu is a name which recognises the gift of  “walking alongside” someone as they enter into a new life experience.
Thank you Wendy for your time. You and your team provide a very valuable service to the Hutt Valley community.
