Healthy in the Hutt 2026 was a great success. All 23 exhibitors attended, and the displays were excellent. The event was well attended with people taking advantage of the health checks and the advice available from the stands. There were more interactive displays, which attracted people’s attention and encouraged them to spend longer at each stand.
The soup, rolls, fruit and face painting were also highlights of the day.
I would like to thank Mike F, Mike K, Paul, Robin F, Absie, Jaye, Tony, Sandy and Chris for all their help in making the event a success. A special thanks also to Annette who won the grocery draw and then donated it back for a second draw.
The event is invaluable. It gives insights into the community support services available and improves individual wellbeing and raises the overall health of the community. It is a great project for Rotary to support. Thank you Shelly for organising and running another successful "Healthy in the Hutt". Your efforts are appreciated.
